I then configured the screensaver as per these instructions I got from insidetheregistry. To do this log-on as a user and set the settings to the screen saver through the control panel for your ssmypics.

Now when I set this up to point to a folder on the local machine this all works fine, the screensaver is displayed over the logon screen after 60 seconds. Now I'm guessing its a problem with permissioning on my network share preventing the local machine account from accessing the pictures, I've given Everyone full permissions and even tried adding in the the computer account of my test machine with full permissions but so far nothing.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to alter the permissions to allow the required access I'd be extremelly greatful! Cheers Neal. Just a quick question, but surely a number of machines pulling lots of pictures at the same time would drastically kill bandwidth on your network even if you reduced the image size to a bare minimum.

Could you not have a robocopy startup script on the machine group policy to sync the folder of images with the server share? Last edited 13th April at PM. Yes No. Thank you! Any more feedback? The more you tell us the more we can help. Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped.

Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback?
